April: PoeTRY Blackout Poetry, Paint Chip Poetry, Book Spine Poetry, Autocorrect Poetry, and more!
May: Musically May Make your own speakers, instruments, sheet music crafts, and more!

Life, Love, and All That Stuff: BookWrecking & Poetry

Do you like to wreck things? Create art and/or write? Local poets Donna Vorreyer and Kristin LaTour will lead this event that incorporates writing and both individual and collaborative art projects using discarded books and magazines. The authors will read from their new poetry collections: Every Love Story is an Apocalypse Story and What Keeps Us Alive. Books will be available for purchase.

Free Comic Book Day

Saturday, May 7
10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Hinsdale Public Library is a host site of the annual nationwide Free Comic Book Day! Drop in to pick up an exclusive free comic (while supplies last), enjoy games, movies, and other activities. Dressing up as your favorite superhero or comic book character is highly encouraged. No registration required.

Crush ‘Em: Spring Finals Service

Saturday, May 21–Thursday, May 26
Prepare to crush those finals! The Library has lots of space, plenty of tables and chairs, and quiet corners to study in on all three floors. Flexible set up, whether you’re studying solo or with a team. We’ll also have snacks and water to help keep your brain cells supercharged!
