Message In A Bottle: S.O.S. Hinsdale

For incoming 6th graders and older
Registration for the Summer Reading Club begins June 6th
You have washed up on a deserted island and the only way off is to read! Track the number of minutes you read and earn SOS message bottles to throw into the waves. When you reach the 300, 600, 900, and 1,200 minute mark, you will find a bottle to send a message in . . . bring it to check-in at the library for a prize. When you check-in, fill out a "My Desert Island, All-Time, Top-Five" list and you will be entered in a weekly drawing for a bigger, better prize. When you are finally rescued (completed reading log in hand) you will be entered into the final prize drawing where you can win the biggest most fantastic of all of the summer reading prizes! All readers may complete two Message in a Bottle logs. Each reading log has 300, 600, 900, 1,200 minute markers.

Become a Red Cross certified babysitter! All participants must be 11 years old to become certified. Lunch will be provided by the library. There are a limited number of spaces available. Registration begins June 2.

Wii Tournament

Tuesday, July 8th and Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 p.m.
We will see you at the library on either July 8th OR July 10th for a Nintendo Wii tournament. We will play in the Meeting Room on the large projection screen, so this will not be like any Wii you've played before. Got what it takes? Registration begins June 2.

GO GREEN!

Wednesday, July 23rd 1:00 p.m.
Staff from Whole Foods will be here to lead a program on green living. Have you ever seen a clock that runs on water? Why should we live green and what can we do in our day-to-day lives? Stick around and we'll make cool duct tape wallets! Registration begins June 2.
