of these sites are sponsored by different agencies of the
federal government. Both have dictionaries, encyclopedias,

prescription drugs. Healthfinder is less technical and has
a stronger emphasis on lifestyle and wellness issues. MEDLINEplus
is more structured and has more links but is still accessible
to lay users.

the site has "Healthy Living Centers" for information about
topics that emphasize self-care and wellness, such as senior
health, working life, and pain management. Among other features: "Ask
a Specialist" answers questions from readers of the Mayo
