Reference Service Policy

Request an Item
Any Hinsdale Public Library cardholder may place a reserve on items from our collection or ask us to obtain materials from other library collections, even if you cannot find the item in any library catalog.

Most items borrowed from within the Metropolitan Library System (MLS) come within 3 to 5 working days; some may take longer. Materials from outside MLS may take longer. There will be a nominal charge of $3.00 per item for items borrowed from outside Illinois.
