Technology at the Library
Computers & the Internet
You’re welcome to use our public computers to access the Internet, search our subscription databases and to use the Microsoft Office 2010 suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, OneNote and Powerpoint). While our computers don’t have floppy drives, they have front-mounted USB ports so you can use your own flash drives. If you‘d like to purchase a USB flash drive, we have them available at the Patron Services Desk for $6. We also have portable headphones for sale for $3.
Connect to the Internet throughout the building via your WiFi enabled laptop computer. You can even print from your own computer.
Print charges are $0.10 per page for black and white output and $0.50 for color, whether you print from one of our computers or your own.
Our Konica Minolta copier/printer will handle your black and white or color copies with ease.
It features an auto sheet feeder, double-sided output and excellent image quality. As with computer prints, copies are $0.10 per page for black and white output and $0.50 for color.
In addition to standard photocopying, we offer scan-to-email service for $0.10 per page, and faxing for $1.00 per page. Ask at the Tech Help Desk or the Adult Services Desk for assistance.
The Konica Minolta machine can be found just beyond the travel and large type books near the west side of the building.
