Hinsdale Public Library DVD and CD collections
Thanks to a generous $20,000 grant given to the Hinsdale Public Library Foundation by the Hinsdale Theater Foundation 2004, the 
library added approximately 600 DVDs and 100 movie soundtrack CDs to our collection. A broad range of award-winning and classic films were chosen for this core collection using numerous criteria, including Oscar, Golden Globe and international film festival award winners. As the DVD collection continues to grow we strive to maintain a range of classic and award-winning films as well as to make the latest big-screen hits available to our patrons.
In addition to the 100 movie soundtrack CDs purchased with the Theater Foundation’s generous grant, the CD collection at the Hinsdale Public Library houses and assortment of musical genres including rock, classical, pop, world, rap, R&B, opera, and more. Due to our commitment to keep both the DVD and CD collections as current as possible they are both in a state of continual growth and input from our patrons about what they would like to see added to these collections is always welcome.
