Get a Library Card

Patrons can now register for a library card online by filling out an online form. This form will allow new patrons to pre-register for a library card; existing Hinsdale library card holders cannot use this form to renew an expired card. After filling out the form, you will receive a temporary library card number that expires in 14 days. The temporary library card number allows you to place holds (limit 3) on books and DVDs. Visit the Hinsdale Public Library within 14 days to complete the registration process by bringing one form of identification with your name and address to the Circulation Services Desk. A driver’s license, a first class piece of mail, such as an electric bill, or a copy of your lease if you are renting are acceptable forms of ID.
