Parking During Washington Street Construction

North Washington Street Utility Improvements may affect your travel and parking at the Library this spring and summer. Washington Street is closed to thru traffic north of Maple Street. Please use caution in the area and allow for extra time to find parking.

A major intersection closure at the corner of  Maple and Washington is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15. No parking will be allowed on either side of Maple Street west of Circle Drive.

Two hour parking is available on Maple and Walnut Streets east of Garfield and metered parking is available in downtown Hinsdale.

Textbook Donations

The Library is building a collection of high school textbooks for use in the Library. Please consider donating your textbooks at the end of the school year. We are looking for any donations, but math, science and foreign language textbooks that are still being used in the classroom are especially welcome.

Donations can be dropped off during regular library hours. Please mention that they are for the textbook shelf.

Rotating Art Exhibits

Visit the rotating art exhibits in the Quiet Reading Room. The exhibit space is free and open to the public during regular library hours.

Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camp Registration Supports the Library!

The Chicago Cubs are bringing the brand new Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps to young Cubs fans this summer. 2012 Cubs Camps (for boys and girls ages 5-13) will run for 8 one-week sessions in different locations across the Chicago area. Four of those one-week sessions are fairly close to Hinsdale:

Monday, July 2-Saturday, July 7 (no camp on 7/4) at Benet Academy in Lisle
Monday, July 16-Friday, July 20 at Gower Middle School in Burr Ridge
Monday, July 30-Friday, August 3 at Benet Academy in Lisle
Monday, August 6-Friday, August 10 at Fenwick High School in Oak Park

All campers will receive professional instruction for all skill levels, take an exclusive VIP tour of Wrigley Field, receive his or her own full Cubs uniform, meet a current Cubs Major League player or tour the Cubs Clubhouse and run the bases at Wrigley Field, take home an autographed photo of a current Cubs player and more!

When registering, enter Hinsdale2012 in the coupon code box and a portion will be donated back to Hinsdale Public Library!
